What is Coaching?

Coaching is is all about moving forward and coaching is all about you! Coaching is about you discovering your strengths, talents and passions and developing them. Coaching is about you setting goals, establishing dreams and moving toward the life you desire.  Coaching is not therapy nor is it counseling. Coaching will not attempt to fix your past or diagnose your “problem.”  Coaching will assist you identifying some of life’s potholes that prevent you from getting from where you are to where you want to be.

The Role of a Coach

A life coach is your biggest cheerleader, your number one fan and the coach that wants to take you to the “super-bowl of life!” A coach will assist you in designing your future. The coach will not determine your goals, give you unsolicited advice, or make decisions for you. The coach will facilitate the process of helping you identify possible hindrances to your goals and future. A coach will acknowledge your gifts, talents, abilities and passion and then support you as you develop and grow in them. The coach believes that you have the answer inside of you and it is the role of the coach to help the answers come to the surface. The coach is there to join you on your amazing journey.

They enjoy greater professional success, improved health, clarity and organization. Coaching helps promote emotional, physical and spiritual balance. The Coaching Process

The first thing that will happen is that you contact me and we will set up your free session. During that first session we will discuss your reason for calling, what you would like coaching to help you accomplish , what you can expect of me and what I will expect of you. This will also be the time for us to get to know each other and decide whether we are a good coaching fit. If we are a fit, you will then decide which package works best for you. Am I the Right Coach?

While I would love to be your coach, we may not be a “fit.”  It is very important to find a coach that is able to adapt to your specific needs and work well with your personality.  As your coach; Empathy, intuition, humor, honesty and a straight forward approach, are my strengths.  I allow you to be you, and accept you where you are but care enough to challenge you not to remain there.  As your coach I will not force you to do anything that makes you uncomfortable, but I will challenge you to step out of your comfort zone. As your coach, I will treat you with respect, appreciate your personality and champion your dreams and goals but I will not work harder at your success than you do. Coaching Isn’t For Everybody

Coaching is powerful and promotes lasting results but not everyone is ready to be coached. Coaching would not be appropriate for those who are in an emotional crisis or emotional pain. Individuals who are in the process of deep inner healing or under the care of a therapist or recovery process, should discuss coaching with their therapist or counselor first. However, If you are ready to take your life to the next level, are in a healthy emotional state, or have the approval of your therapist or counselor then coaching is for you!
